The production process of carbon steel pipe mainly includes the following steps:
Raw material preparation: The raw material of carbon steel pipe is mainly carbon steel. The appropriate carbon steel model is selected according to the purpose of the final product. It is necessary to check whether the steel has defects to ensure the quality of the raw materials.
Cutting: Cut the raw materials according to the designed size and use a sawing machine or a cutting machine for precise cutting.
Processing and forming: The cut steel is processed into the approximate shape of the carbon steel pipe through bending, rolling and other operations. This process requires precise control to ensure the shape and performance of the steel pipe.
Welding: Multiple sections of steel need to be connected together by welding. Common welding methods include manual arc welding, submerged arc welding, etc. During the welding process, attention should be paid to the quality of the weld to avoid pores or cracks.
Heat treatment: During the heat treatment process, the steel pipe is heated and cooled to improve its structure and performance. Heat treatment can eliminate stress, improve strength and toughness.
Sizing and cooling: The steel pipe is sized by a sizing machine to ensure that its inner diameter meets the requirements. Then water spray cooling is carried out to shape the steel pipe.
Straightening and flaw detection: The straightening machine straightens the steel pipe to ensure its straightness. Then metal flaw detection or water pressure test is used to detect whether there are problems such as cracks or bubbles inside.
Surface treatment and packaging: Finally, the steel pipe is surface treated, such as spray painting to mark the number, specification and production batch number, and then stored in the warehouse.
The production methods of carbon steel pipes include the following:
Hot rolling method: It is suitable for the production of large-diameter and thick-walled steel pipes. The steel billet is heated and rolled into a tube shape through a rolling mill. The surface is relatively rough, but the toughness is good.
Cold drawing method: The annealed steel billet is drawn through a cold drawing machine, and the surface is smooth, with high strength and toughness, which is suitable for precision steel pipes.
Cold extrusion method: It is extruded by a cold extruder, with high processing accuracy, suitable for precision instruments and electrical equipment.
Welding method: The cut and formed steel plates are connected into a tube shape by welding, which is suitable for steel pipes of various specifications.
Seamless steel pipe production method: Using round steel as raw material, it is formed through multiple perforations and heating, suitable for high pressure and large diameter fields.
