The steel coil processing process mainly includes raw material preparation, smelting, rolling, curling, cooling and inspection, packaging and delivery.
Specifically:
Raw material preparation and smelting :
Raw material preparation includes the purchase and proportion of raw materials such as iron ore, coke, limestone, etc.
In the smelting stage, these raw materials are sent to the blast furnace for smelting, and molten iron is obtained through high-temperature reduction reaction. The molten iron is then sent to the converter or electric furnace for further refining, impurities are removed, and the composition is adjusted to meet the needs of different steel grades .
Rolling :
The qualified steel billet obtained after smelting is sent to the rolling mill at high temperature.
Through multiple rolling passes, the steel billet gradually becomes the required thickness and width. During the rolling process, the precise control of parameters such as temperature, reduction, and rolling speed is crucial to product quality .
Curling :
After rolling, the steel enters the coiler for curling to form a steel coil.
During the coiling process, parameters such as coiling temperature and coiling tension need to be strictly controlled to ensure the quality of the steel coil .
Cooling and inspection:
The coiled steel coil needs to be cooled to stabilize its structure and performance.
After cooling, the steel coil needs to undergo strict quality inspection, including appearance inspection, dimensional measurement, mechanical property testing, etc., to ensure that the product meets relevant standards and customer requirements.
Packaging and delivery:
The steel coils that pass the inspection need to be packaged to prevent damage during transportation and storage.
After packaging, the steel coils can be shipped to customers .
